Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Clean Install
March 21st, 2014 HardwareThis is a modification of the guide written by MaXimus, adapted for my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro that was pre-installed with Windows 8.1 x64. I wrote this guide mainly for myself, as I was unfamiliar with UEFI Win 8 installs and had to do a bit of research to figure out this clean install. This guide assumes you are very familiar with the process of installing Windows, deleting/creating disk partitions, and other technical procedures. I do not consider this a complete walkthrough and neither should you. EVERYTHING HERE IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK. If you aren't comfortable with this disclaimer, leave now!
Steps
- For precaution only, you shouldn't need this key to install as the OEM key is in your BIOS:

- Write down product key somewhere safe

- Burn ISO to USB with Rufus using GPT/UEFI and FAT32

- Boot Menu > USB
- Delete all partitions and install in unallocated space (only if you know what you're doing!).
- Install with all options like Windows Update, Download Drivers, etc. OFF
- Control Panel > Windows Update > Install all non-driver updates > Reboot > Install more > Reboot > etc.
